1965- Fred and Ethel Start the F.S. Welsford Company
It all started in the basement of their home in Drexel Hill, PA. Fred Sr was the salesman, Ethel was the admin, and the beginning of a family tradition was started.
1980- Gil Sr and Fred Jr grow the company
Full of energy and a deep knowledge of valves through their Dad, Gil Sr and Fred Jr join the company growing it from a team of 3 to a team of 12 and moving headquarters to Exton, PA. At this time they make the transition from being a manufacturer’s representative firm to being distributors of the products they represent.
2005- Gil Sr and Christina become sole owners of FSW after Fred Jr Retires
With yet another burst of energy, Gil Sr and his wife Christina become the sole owners of FSW and grow the company to a team of 16 and grow the product offering. This energy allows them to smash through sales goals and targets each year. Christina joins the team at FSW partaking in the management of finances and the day-to-day operations of the firm.
2011- Gilbert Jr joins and ValveMan is launched
Gilbert Jr, then 20 years old and in college launches the ecommerce sales channel of FSW- ValveMan.com- expanding the company’s sales territory from PA, NJ, DE, and NY to the entire United States.
2022- Jason joins team
With a deep management experience consulting for organizations such as the IRS, CDC, and many other government agencies, Jason joins the FSW to help bring yet a new burst of energy and growth to the company.
Future- Jason & Gilbert Jr plan for growth!
